• walk for babies — a different type of walk

  since 2001 i have been involved in the avon and komen walks for breast cancer, raising over 10k to support breast cancer research and fund programs to assist breast cancer patients. i’m taking a hiatus from walking/crewing due to the baby this year, but i’ve found something to do in its stead.

• second christmas

  this weekend we went up to boston to visit my parents; we hadn’t had a chance to do that yet, since we went to memphis for christmas this year. it was an awesome time, but nothing went as planned. alex got sick on tuesday, head cold sick. wednesday it sounded worse so the doctor wanted to do rsv testing and chest x-rays. all was well, so we bundled him up and went to hunker down in boston — we figured [...]

• mr. vomit has visited the turner household

  but thankfully he didn’t stay long. he woke up last night at around 10:30 sick as a dog, and we’ve spent all day trying to pump as much fluids into him as possible. he seems ok, his spirits were high and he had a lot of energy, and nursed a lot. so all that is good. we’ll see how good a day he has tomorrow. but man — it was a redo of the exorcist for a moment there.
