  • so my dad calls today

    and says, “everyone is alright”
    which is the first clue that something has happened that is perhaps not ideal.
    apparently my uncle and aunt’s house in RI (if you’re in the area and you see a report about a dog saving a family from a house fire, that’s them) — they’re fine, but about half the house was severely damaged. the story (complete with ‘metro news one’ style news report” can be found here:

    It’s been a long time since I posted pictures of the boy, and this is one of my current favorites. Flickr is a holy mess (meaning nothing is in sets or tagged that was recently updated) but if you look through the latest uploads there’s a lot of new pictures of the boy.

  • since i can’t start where i left off, i’ll start where i am

    i keep wanting to post; one might say i’ve needed to. but i start my posts and don’t know what else i haven’t even talk about — a great example is the new job (and it’s not so new now at 6 months in) that i never really explained. so i figure i’ll just start where i am, and add background where needed. it’s time to start putting virtual pen to paper and emptying out my head again.

    i have a cold. saturday night it hit me like a freight train. invest in puffs people, because i’ve already gone through two boxes.
